Heavy Duty 2-Inch Metal Spring Clamps for Camping & Woodworking - 8 Pack

I shopped for vinyl coated spring clamps. These only have flimsy slide back on but mostly slide OFF covers. I wanted the coated vinyl to protect items I’d be working with. The size is great! Just what I wanted.Just received these and I needed new ones for my work that had the rubber coating on the clamp to protect the surface of my work. Sadly I can see the metal through the coating on most and can feel the sharp edge that was supposed to be coated urg. All so while I do not need a strong clamp for my work but if you do skip these, the spring does not seem that strong and the metal seems thin.These use some really weak springs. I was not impressed . Might just return them and get some better spring clampsThese clips are perfect for so many things. I initially bought them for glueing craft projects, but found other uses for them as well.I do free motion quilting. I use these clamps to hold quilt of various sizes that I am quilting.They work perfectly.Advertised as heavy duty, they were light duty at best. They were close to worthless in clamping pressure. I would not recommend.The clips are well made, look very durable, and they are easy to open. I got some other clips from another seller that you need super powers to open. These work as I expected.....very happy with them.These are not clamps. They will work for keeping a bag of chips closed but not much else.
