Excellent tall clamp- great service from HartvilleThere really are TWO clamps in the package (not just one as implied in product details), and work as well as the shorter, original Festool screw clamps. Besides vastly superior material thickness holding capacity, there is another advantage: the improved insertion angle means these clamps could work in thicker bench tops. Festool's MFT is 3/4" thick MDF, with 20mm holes, but other capacities work. After some experimentation, and as a guideline only, some combinations and their results are shown below.3/4" bench top thickness:Short Festool screw clamp (489570), 3/4" hole - fitsLong Festool screw clamp (489571), 3/4" hole - fits24mm bench top thickness:Short Festool screw clamp (489570), 3/4" hole - does not fitShort Festool screw clamp (489570), 20mm hole - fits, but TIGHTLong Festool screw clamp (489571), 3/4" hole - does not fit/fits but EXTREMELY TIGHTLong Festool screw clamp (489571), 20mm hole - fitsI did use a drill press to insure the holes were true. I was able to force the long clamp through the 3/4" hole in the 24mm top, but it was very tight. I suspect that as the holes get used and worn in a bit, this could be an option. Hopefully this info helps you make a choice on which clamps to choose.Updated info Jul 30 2015 - Before purchasing these Festool clamps, I contacted Bessey to inquire about a possible solution from them. Bessey does have a new product line that they claim will work with the Festool MFT tables. I have no pricing information, nor any retailer info as these appear to be brand new. Their inside contact provided a brochure (I'll insert a pic of the product card). Contact [email protected] BESSEY Tools North America.A quick FYI: I do not own the Bessey product, but these do appear to be an alternative to the Festool clamps. Hopefully, Bessey will offer competitive pricing.Love these clampsI bought these longer clamps as a just in case thing. Ended up using them ALLOT. Price is fine. 25$ is not exactly what I would love to pay but, the brand that makes these clamps charges about the same for their brand which dont fit the rails. These do work great, if you are clamping allot of things the quick clamps would be nice however.Wonderful with the FS tracksYou simply cannot go wrong with Festool! I just bought these 12" clamps to supplement my 6", and the quality is as good as has become expected. These are excellent clamps.I purchased two pair for use on my Festool Multi-purpose table and they did not disappoint! This is an excellent design that works flawlessly. They are expensive but worth the purchase price. If you have the Multi-purpose table this is an absolutely necessary accessory!Track system from festool is complimented by these clamps which attach securely and are out of your way.Great quality, great system, totally satisfied.Festool quality fantastic clampsWhat can you say about festivals clubs perfectAl principio tienen buena pinta, pero sólo eso.
